POSSIBLY.

POSSSSSSIBLY.

The best movie of all time.

Bikecar features the snowboarding talents Travis Parker, Louie Fountain, And Scott-e Wittylake, as they pedal their four wheeled contraption from Moscow, Idaho to Bend, Oregon.
Incredible snowboarding and incredible movie in general. If you have feet you should see this movie.

SOME GREAT MUSICS VOLUME #6.

YEASAYER
Usually any music that i hear that sounds like a direct ripoff of Beatles songs makes me automatically discredit it. But YEASAYER is a completely different story. Yeasayer has possibly some of the best harmonies and chord changes in indie music that i've heard in a long time. Just listen to them, you'll get the picture.

Music From Before Our Time Volume #1.

SHUGGIE OTIS.
I've been fucking OBSESSED with this guy. Just look at him. HES LOOKS SO FUNNY. But seriously, Shuggie Otis was a kind of psych folk/funk singer from 1974 and he will take your brain and throw up rainbows in it. Picture if TV On The Radio had funk side project that was so great that it your ears turned to gold when you listened to it. Its so great.

SOME GREAT MUSICS VOLUME #5.

BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW
I'm not one to usually throw around the "weird band" card but Black Moth Super Rainbow is a fucking WEIRD. Black Moth uses intense layered synths, reversed and backmasked beats, all vocoder vocals, and some of the trippiest engineering i've ever heard in any music. All of this really doesn't sound like it would be good at all. TRUST ME. I thought they we're going to suck a lot. But after just hearing one track you really get a sense for their ideas, musically. They lyrics really go with the themes of the songs and the psychedelia of it all gets really catchy after a while. These guys should be on anyones list of "bands to go time-tripping to".

KAYA YUSI
My friend Kaya has been taking pictures long ass time. Before the dawn of time even. I picked a bunch of portraits of good friends that Kaya shot because they're all amazing and all really convey emotions or are just fucking cool.

SOME GREAT MUSICS VOLUME #4.

Phosphorescent

Phosphorescent is a one man project operated by Matthew Houck. His new album, Pride is one of my favorites of the year. His lyrics are filled with southern imagery and longing. The song Wolves is possibly the best song based around wolves ever, or bears even. His older album Aw Come Aw Wry is a little more accessible but Pride is definitely my favorite. YOU'LL LIKE IT.

Maximilian Joao Arias.
THIS is my friend Max. Before I wrote this I never really had the chance to give his pictures a good look. All of his photographs are taken on lomography film cameras and they all have that shitty lomography sheen, in a good way, though. The ones taken on the multi shot camera i find really incredible. Especially the one with the shades of red. GOOD JOB MAX.

Dear Sons And Daughters Of Hungry Ghosts

I bring to you...

I do not know much about them.  Actually I don't know anything at all; except for the names of their songs, their album, and what ever information I can conclude from the picture to the left (which is close to nothing).  The only thing I am really sure about this band is the fact that they are awesome to listen to, the upbeat duo of songs called "we built another world" and "fancy claps" just enthralled me from the start.  They, as a band, just give off a good vibration, they seem to love what their doing and are making good music from it. I do not know if I think that because I started listening to this band in the middle of a weekend filled with crown royal, or that their just good, I think its a little of both.

LISTEN TO THEM, they will make your weekend and/or year.

SOME GREAT MUSICS VOLUME #3.

HOT CHIP

These men have been on repeat on my itunes for a while. They're all English. They're all meganerds. They're all amazing. The new album is called The Warning is fucking brilliant. Its some of the catchiest music I've ever heard. Even the most strange and obscure songs you'll be humming all day more than you're already humming Sensual Seduction. Seriously though, with great lo-fi beats, Thick glasses, great vocals, and an extended knowlege of Stargate Atlantis, these guys can do no wrong.

SOME GREAT MUSICS VOLUME #2.

FUCK BUTTONS.

THIS is (my fourth post today)Fuck Buttons. They're stupid, repetitive, and loud as fuck. I love them. Think about it, Fuck. Buttons. Honestly, how could i not like them. Just listen to the title track, Sweet Love For Planet earth. You'll love them. Or i'll kill you.

new beginning (it was the best of times...)

After several attempts, which were thwarted by my internet browser's cancerous cells, I will make my first post as of 7:14Pm of December 5th, twenty zero seven.  I am Ethan Jayne.
Jeffery and I have decided to make this blog focusing (but not thoroughly devoted to) art and music. I hope to include the eroticism of world renowned artist such as Jenna Jameson and "Cherry Poppers" (I kid.)
I cannot speak for Jeffery, but I was recently been sucked into the blog community when introduced to ed tempelton's writing on the RVCA & TOY MACHINE BLOOD SUCKING SKATEBOARD COMPANY's websites, theskullset photoblog, and the LOLA blog.  I have decided to do something productive with the time usually wasted sitting on my ass listening to music, and expand on my writing abilities (hopefully).
A not so familiar soundscape was brought to my attention in a way I cannot seem to remember.  This band brings a sense of machinery and invention  to the hardcore/noisecore music scene that does not seem to change at all.
This band, consisting of two young people named BRIAN, make the only sound I have ever been forced to grow accustom to.  This is very different  from anything I have heard so far.  Although sometimes the drum and bass duo will bring an uncomfortable jumble of feedback to your ears (much like the sound of my next door neighbor/second cousin building his car made out of old tractor parts), they can also make a rhythm that will entrance, and bring you close, but yet so far, from erotic bliss provided by the 72 virgins waiting for you when I die.

J/C

This is my brother Steve. He's not a herb and he is disease free, for the most part. He started up a great dance music project a few months ago called John/Constance. He makes incredible beatscapes that could quite possibly drain all the blood from your body if listened to correctly. Look for a notice on here when his official EP drops which will most likely be in ten years if he doesn't get his FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER. STEVE. YOU HEEB. But anyway here is his myspace link.

I DO ALL HIS PRESS SO LOOK AT MY OTHER BLOG, TOO.

Les Savy Fav:

I've been listening to these men a lot lately. They remind me a lot of Bear Vs. Shark, cracked with an even more overweight and demented singer, but in a good way. The songs have great vocal patterns that you wouldn't expect, great changes, and some songs are so hard they hit you like shot children's liquid adderol and tequila. The bass parts remind of Joy Division and that makes me extra happy.  And hey, most people like to a fat drunk naked man running around a stage, unless he reminds you of your father or uncle.
